Sri Lanka

Would you like to travel and experience Sri Lanka as locals? I had a trip to Hikkaduwa in Sri Lanka and enjoyed hospitality of a Sri Lankan family.

Sri Lanka is the paradise on earth with 26 national parks teeming with wildlife, wonderful beaches, surfing, tropical fruits and mind blowing ancient places. The earliest human remains found on the island of Sri Lanka date to about 35,000 years ago (Balangoda Man). The majority of the population is from the Sinhalese ethnicity, while a large minority of Tamils have also played an influential role in the island’s history.

Besides the charming tourist attractions, there are also the poorest and most vulnerable lives especially in rural areas.

Myanmar – Inle Lake

In western Shan State, you will find picturesque Inle Lake, famous for its floating villages and gardens and the unique way of life of the local Intha people, with their living communities based entirely on the water.

The lake, which measures 22 km long by 10 km wide, and sits in a valley between two mountain ranges. Being here feels like you are in a different place than the rest of Myanmar: villages and towns across the lake, wooden houses are built on stilts and fishermen steer their one-man boats with a characteristic rowing style, wrapping one leg around their oar.

Weekend Travel to Lisbon

Lisbon is built on seven hills, two of which rise from the city centre. The streets with climbing hills are full of cafe`s and old shops. The old trams in their bright colour is photographers` delight. Do not miss Baixa and Alfama districts.

There are two large squares, Praca Dom Pedro and Praca Figueira, surrounded with 18th-19th century buildings, mosaics on pavements, statues and fountains.

Lisbon was built on a maritime history and the city has a photogenic waterfront area, especially sunset at Belem tower. You will enjoy weekend in Lisbon and have many great shots of the city.

Ireland Dublin

A long weekend travel to Dublin in February, and things to do in Dublin in 3 days.

Dublin is known both for lively atmosphere and historical scene. The city offers a lot to see, still it is remarkably small and intimate. A self guided walking tour does not need a lot of preparation and this is the best way to discover Dublin. The best sights are situated in a comparatively small area. O’Connell Bridge and Ha`penny Bridge are located in the central of Dublin.

During our visit, we experienced kind Burmese people and and we always felt welcomed. Safety or crime was never a problem in the places where we visited.

Visit Myanmar as soon as possible, when you still can experience local life and preserved villages around the cities.

Dolomites in North Italy

Dolomites, Italy is an amazing choice for wild nature, mountain views and roads, calm natural lakes. I believe that there is a great experience here every season: autumn with wonderful colourful trees, winter for ski, spring and summer for hiking.

We spent one week driving around the most popular locations such as Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Lago di Braies, Cortina, Passo Giau, Passo Rolle, San Marino do Castrozza, Alpe di Siusi and Val di Funes.

I would like to share the best photography spots in Dolomites and our experiences from the trip.

Slovenia – Lake Bled in Autumn, October 10th

Autumn colors are great for landscape design in photography. Slovenia is one of the best travel destinations in October to paint your photos with the amazing colors. We went to 3-4 days trip to Slovenia, mainly to Lake Bled and Škofja Loka in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Lake Bled is one Alpine paradise spot and St Marys Church sits on the huge rock on a tiny island. Castle Bled, is situated on a 130 meter cliff for more than a thousand years.

El Campello

There are many reasons to stay at El Campello instead of busy touristic cities at SouthWest Coast of Spain around Alicante. El Campello old town is built around the former fishing area, therefore still protected small fishing houses exist in the centre.

This place is preserved and has a nice cosmopolitan character.
